Advisory Engineer/Scientist Dev-Direct at Hitachi GST

THIS IS A DIRECT HIRE WITH HITACHI GST

Expert in the design of analog circuits using CMOS technologies in accordance with disk drive specifications. Must be able to influence the direction of the department and organization. Influence can be in the areas of architecture, semiconductor technology, design, physical layout, simulation, lab characterization and integration of read channels into the specified drives. Excellent communications required for interfacing with external development partners. Must have the technical and project management skills to lead an analog design team through a complete design cycle. Individual must be able to provide analysis and robust solutions to complex problems. A background in the hard drive industry would be a plus but is not essential if other skills are strong enough. Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
Analog circuit design skills & the ability to lead a team of designers are of utmost importance.

The ability to maintain good teamork skills under stress is required.
Be able to lead a team of engineers through a complete design cycles while demonstrating excellent technical and project management skills.
Must have or be able to quickly develop expertise in the hard drive industry to influence technical and business decisions made in the area of read/write channels.
