Position Summary
Assists in the planning, coordination, and performance of design, analysis and liaison engineering supporting the development and production of Gulfstream products, and services, that meet internal and external customer and regulatory requirements. Provides specialized technical assistance to team members on a daily basis.



Major Duties and Responsibilities
1. Applies diversified knowledge and experience of engineering principles and practices in specific technical areas.
2. Makes decisions independently on engineering problems and methods and represents the organization to customers and suppliers to resolve important issues and to plan and coordinate work.
3. Will use advanced techniques and the modification and extension of theories and practices of a specific field.
4. Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct a large and important engineering project or a number of small projects with many complex features. Provide technical guidance to other engineers.
5. Develop and evaluate plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities to be carried out by others. Assess the feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering evaluation test, products, or equipment when necessary data are insufficient or confirmation by testing is advisable.
6. Maintains a current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of company product.
7. Actively works to improve daily processes and ensures all work meets customer requirements.


Prerequisites
1. Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aeronautical Engineering. Advanced degree in engineering related field preferred.
2. Five (5) to ten (10) years specific engineering experience
3. Experience in sheet metal and Composite panel design is a must.
4. Aircraft antenna Installation is a plus.


Required Expertise/Skills: Engineering Design

Unique Skill Requirements:
Five plus years in design experience in avionics installation and rack design using CATIA V4.

Aircraft antenna Installation is a plus.
