Analog Design Engineering Manager-Located in Vienna, Virgina

 

Roles and Responsibilities

 

Lead a team of analog/RF design engineers


Develop and maintain appropriate schedules; track progress of team members


Design and develop high frequency analog circuits, including planning the architecture and modeling with SPICE or SpectreRF tools
Design and guide the layout of key analog circuits such as wideband amplifiers, A/D converters, PLLs and DLLs for advanced mixed-signal ICs


Analyze and optimize circuit timing


Assist in layout verification


Plan, write, and implement tests and verification


Lead and mentor analog designers and layout engineers

 

Knolwdedge and Skills Required

 



High speed analog circuit design experience and a proven track record of successful product cycle completion


Experience in leading a team of analog/RF design engineers


Experience in the use of SPICE or SpectreRF simulation for circuit optimization and tolerancing


Experience with CMOS and/or Bipolar analog circuit design preferred


Experience with Cadence or Mentor Graphics EDA tools


Knowledge of BIST techniques


Knowledge of power optimization and planning


Experience with Solaris or Linux and Windows workstation environments


Good documentation and communication skills and the ability to work independently and with others in a distributed environment with engineers in several locations


Candidate must have a BS or higher in Electronic Engineering or related discipline


Ten years of related experience in the design of analog integrated circuits
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.



In addition, the following would be pluses:

Knowledge of VHDLs or AHDLs for mixed-signal verification would be a plus.


Experience with scripting languages, such as Perl, C-shell


Knowledge of C and C++ programming languages


Simulation test bench development


Knowledge of wireless protocols, such as 802.15.3 and 802.11


MSEE or Ph.D
