Analytical/QC Chemist

Micron Technology, Inc. is currently seeking an Analytical/QC Chemist to join our company.  As an Analytical/QC Chemist at Micron, you will provide analytical chemistry support for Micron’s production, production support, and R & D areas.  The current opening is in a dynamic laboratory environment, equipped with a broad array of modern instrumentation. If selected, you will work directly with customers and therefore must possess excellent customer service skills.
 
Typical functions of this position include: perform sample data acquisition, analysis and results reporting to customers; perform operational maintenance/repair on analytical instrumentation; develop and document new analytical procedures; conduct professional interaction with customers in order to maximize analytical effectiveness; use of Microsoft Office products, and a host of other job specific software applications, in carrying out daily work.



Experience in any of the following disciplines is desirable, however not mandatory for the right candidate: metals analysis by ICP-OES, Ion Chromatography, or Molecular Spectroscopy.  Prior experience and applicable skills will determine placement of the Chemist in the appropriate position.  Candidate must be comfortable working in a high throughput environment with minimal supervision, and must possess the aptitude and desire to learn and adapt to changes in a dynamic technical environment.
 
Education:
BS degree in Chemistry, or other relevant science with applicable experience, is required.
