Possess the appropriate engineering computer skill sets to support the assigned product groups (i.e., AutoCAD, Siemens Step 7). Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills.

Effective interpersonal, strong organizational and planning skills required.

Education & Experience

BS in engineering from a credited four-year college or university and 1-3 years? experience required in application engineering or related field and/or equivalent education & experience.

Travel

Required travel involving overnight stays, weekend assignments, and international opportunities.

Job Description:

Under direct supervision, understand and analyze customer requirements for product design, modification, or appropriate application.

Compares, analyzes, and determines if existing products can meet customers? needs

Makes suggestions and recommendations to customers for product modifications and improvements

Consults with direct supervision or internal customers for product modifications

May prepare proposals, quotations, and apply appropriate pricing

Maintains current knowledge of company?s products and equipment capabilities

Possesses knowledge of engineering disciplines and industry standards affecting quality

Provides technical support for internal and onsite customers

Completes assigned departmental projects
