Applications Engineering Manager/ Semiconductor

The position initially will function as an individual contributor with opportunity to build an applications organization over time.

 

Key Job Tasks:Understand the detailed technical requirements of a variety of potential applications for potential products in thermal management and power generation Lead the technical definition of potential products via close collaboration with customers and Marketing, Engineering and Operations. Understand and apply technology to creative thermal management or power generation solutions for our customers. Provide strategic leadership and insights to thermal management or power generation applications. Provide management technical assessment of other competitive and synergistic technologies. Create technical product collateral, such as datasheets, app notes and technical papers. Provide technical support for customers and their applications.

 

Educational Requirements:
Qualified candidates will have a MS or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Applied Physics BS or related fields.

 

Commercial Experience Requirements:7+ years of Application Engineering, Product Development or New Product Introduction (NPI) experience in military electronics, semiconductor, optoelectronics or photonics components, thermoelectric components, or other applications requiring thermal management solutions. Proven track-record in bringing new thermal management products from concept to volume production. Hands-on experience in testing and demonstrating new thermal technology in various applications on the lab bench. Working knowledge of the thermal management components (i.e., heat spreaders, thermal interface materials, thermoelectrics, etc) supply base and food chain.
