Assembly Manufacturing Engineer - job is in KS

One of our clients has retained us to find an Assembly Manufacturing Engineer for their facility in Wichita, KS.

 

Our client is one of the leading manufacturers of heavy duty equipment.

 

Revenues in 2004 totaled in the billions and Based in the United States.

 

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

 

Design and develop manufacturing processes and systems focused on exceeding quality, cost, satisfying schedule requirements and continuous improvement at all levels of the business.  Develop and define concepts and processes for, and integral to, new product and product enhancement programs, and coordinate and integrate specialized processes and techniques into manufacturing.

 

Job Requirements:

BSIE or BSME

4 - 6 years experience in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering - experience in assembly operations is a must.

Working knowledge of manufacturing techniques and capabilities including continuous improvement,  standard work, material flow, visual management and process control etc.

Supervisory and project management experience

 

Responsibilities:

1. Evaluate and implement innovative, cost effective, manufacturing processes and techniques, which will improve the effectiveness of the manufacturing operations and business systems.

2. Develop manufacturing planning, capability requirements, and assessments, which facilitate the definition and specification of the manufacturing processes.

3. Provide technical expertise and leadership for the timely resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems. Serve as a resource for cause/effect analysis, investigations, statistical studies and corrective action planning.

4. Integrate closely with the various manufacturing unit managers and chief engineers to maximize product quality, production output and schedule compliance while minimizing costs.

5. Actively participate and support the continuous improvement, cost reduction and employee involvement processes.

6. Develop and implement manufacturing work flows and station layout which optimize value added operations and process quality.

7. Develop and conduct training programs on specialized process technologies for salaried and hourly personnel.

8. Serve as the functional representative on task teams for major problem resolution.

 

There is relocation within USA and must be green card or US citizen to be considered.
