Asset Master Planning Advisor - Americas

Shell Oil Products US is currently seeking an Asset Master Planning Advisor ? Americas for its Houston, Texas location.

Responsibilities:

In this position, you will be responsible for providing direct hands-on Asset Master Planning advice and facilitation to the Downstream-One sites in the region, with the purpose to effectively, efficiently and globally consistently roll out the Asset Master Planning business processes. In addition, you will participate in the detailed further development of the Asset Master Planning business processes and tools, in close contact with the global AMP team. Working directly with the Asset Master Planners, you will interface directly and frequently with the site Asset Master Planning Focal point, the AMP Sponsor (typically the Engineering Manager) and the site General Manager of the sites in the region.

Key Accountabilities Include:
Globally consistent implementation of the Living Asset Master Plan Inventory (LAMPI) D-Base per site
Creating site specific LAMPI implementation and quality improvement plans, which are in line with site needs and abilities and global AMP milestone targets
Ensuring the site?s correct, efficient and effective use of the LAMPI, through direct (often on-site and hands-on) LAMPI training and facilitation, with sites responsible for data entry, while the AMP-Advisor being accountable for making sure that the sites enter data into the LAMPI as per the agreed plans and processes
Tracking progress against implementation and improvement plans and translating these to Performance Indicators and for identifying bottlenecks and showstoppers
Effectively reporting back on status, concerns and suggested new interventions to the relevant Asset Master Planner and the site Asset Master Planning sponsors (Engineering Managers & General Manager)
Managing a network of site AMP focal points (typically mechanical/reliability type engineers), who are tasked to consistently implement a LAMPI per site, involving developing and agreeing site plans for a phased population and improvement of the LAMPI
Ensuring alignment of the site milestones, with regional and global targets
Providing on-site support, training and guidance regarding the AMP Processes including the drafting of investment proposals, implementation and use of the LAMPI, linking all LAMPI action items to Business Objectives and Premises (BO&P?s) and the LAMPI quality assessment process
Participating in specified tasks shared with the Asset Master Planners (as defined under purpose)

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you must possess a Bachelor?s Degree or higher in Engineering and have approximately 5 or more years of professional experience in a Refining or Chemicals environment. You will have on-site/hands-on experience in field/maintenance and discipline engineering involving all engineering disciplines, engineering performance indicators, risk management and project justification, and annual budget management as well as predicting longer term budget requirements for key assets (for example: asset reference planning).
