Assistant Chief Performance and System Integration Engineer - Liftfan

Rolls-Royce is pleased to announce an opening for an Assistant Chief Performance and System Integration Engineer - Liftfan in our Indianapolis, IN facility.

The successful candidate will:

Provide focal point in Indianapolis and primary interface with Bristol for all LiftFan related performance issues. Assist the Bristol Chief Performance Engineer in managing all aspects of Liftfan performance. Assure proper functional integration of the Indianapolis components (mainframe, gearbox and VAVBN) into the Bristol whole system performance and operability models. Work in conjunction with the Bristol Chief Performance engineer to develop and maintain status, specification and trending performance models. Assess and sign-off engineering changes which might impact performance and operability. Ensure technical accuracy and adequacy of Acceptance Test Procedures. Ensure technical accuracy of test cell correlation. Work in conjunction with the Bristol Chief Performance engineer to analyze and trend acceptance test data. Work in conjunction with the Bristol Chief Performance engineer to analyze and trend fielded LiftFan test data as required to fully understand deterioration characteristics. Identify new concepts and/or product improvements to enhance system performance and operability. Work in conjunction with the Bristol Chief Performance engineer and oversee performance development testing.

Position requirements include:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering (advanced degree desired). Minimum of 10 years Gas Turbine Engine experience. Enthusiastic high-energy work ethic. Proven ability to build relationships with customers, peers and team members. Proven ability to lead in ambiguous situations with conflicting requirement inputs. Demonstrated program management and leadership skills. Ability to travel both domestically and internationally. Excellent presentation and writing skills. Engine and systems integration experience desired.
