Assistant Director of Plant Operations and Maintenance - Richmond, VA

ARAMARK is seeking an Assistant Director of Plant Operations for a large healthcare facility in Richmond, VA. The Assistant Director of Plant Operations will be resonsible for planning, budgeting, design, and construction process as it relates to renovation and construction projects.  The ability to plan, organize and manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently and the management skills to coordinate and direct the efforts of service and construction contractors.  Lead a diverse workforce with varying abilities and motivation. Develop project scopes of work with customers, present projects to administration for approval and ensure satisfactory performance of work by contractors.

3 – 5 years experience in an acute care hospital plant operations environment with knowledge of the planning, budgeting, design, and construction process as it relates to renovation and construction projects. Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.  Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with an annual budget process as it pertains to O&M actions and capital projects. Displays the leadership skills to lead a diverse workforce with varying abilities and motivation.  Can recognize what needs to be done and has the initiative to get it done.  Documented experience in plant operations and maintenance and construction/renovation project management.  Hands-on experience with AIA construction guidelines for hospitals; NFPA codes (NFPA 99 and NFPA 101); and JCAHO Environment of Care elements of performance.  Possesses the communication skills necessary to develop project scopes of work with customers, present projects to administration for approval and ensure satisfactory performance of work by contractors.
