All Candidates must meet the following requirements.

-Must have a BS in Civil/structural engineering plus 5 years of active design experience or a MS in Civil Engineering plus 4 years of active design experience. similar engineering education with appropriate experience may be substituted for civil engineering degree.
-Must have a Florida PE or be able to receive through reciprocity.
-Must have excellent design skills and major familiarity with all Florida Building Code Requirements and be capable of producing or supervising full design construction documents.
-Must have active design experience to include: concrete, steel and wood component designs for multi-story buildings, foundation analysis, wind load design analysis, small to mid-sized dam and hydraulic/aquatic structure design signs and mast arm poles and foundation design. Experience and training in AutoCAD is needed along with a working knowledge of structural design programs. Working knowledge of local and state growth management requirements is necessary. Must exhibit excellent communication skills and work well within a team environment.

Job Description :
This position is responsible for the development of structural design requirements for various complex structures as a part of multidisciplinary design team. develop or supervise the development of construction documents for new, renovation and/or public or private facilities. The engineer must exercise considerable independent judgement in the design of structural systems in accordance with Building code requirements. This position must prepare and/or supervise preparation of growth management and permitting application submittals, coordinate with local and state regulatory staff and provide coordination leadership at regulatory meetings. Must perform construction administration and inspection services for various projects to insure compliance with construction documents.
