About the Opportunity This Engineer is accountable for managing and completing new business work, jobbing & contracting, reliability and maintenance programs to improve the overall distribution system within the District. Plays a lead role within the district to provide an engineering presence along with the responsibilities and accountabilities that accompany the position. Reviews outage data as necessary to identify discrepancies. Works directly with Customer Support personnel to respond to new business work, reliability and customer complaints. Works with district personnel to establish and provide regional direction for work flow and standards.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Professional Engineering license preferred.

Previous experience as Engineer.

Demonstrated effective customer service skills.

Analytical and quantitative skills required to identify issues, solve problems, collect and interpret data.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Must be well organized, have the ability to manage and prioritize work as well as have project management skills.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite applications, knowledge of or ability to use CREWS, SAP and Lotus Notes.

Must be able to work unsupervised in office and field locations.

Must be willing to work flexible hours, including emergency response.

Preferred

Working knowledge of electrical distribution systems, reliability measures, system equipment, maintenance practices and construction methods is desired.

Previous utility reliability experience preferred.
