ASSOCIATE MECHANICAL ENGINEER

The successful candidate will provide Mechanical Engineering support for diverse projects in the Advanced Energy Directorate of CTC.  Responsibilities will include basic mechanical system installations, efficiency calculations, troubleshooting of equipment, and research into innovative advanced energy technologies.  Other responsibilities will include assisting in the evaluation of various advanced energy technologies including the set-up, validation, and operation.  Individual responsibilities will also include report writing, and creating graphs and charts from the testing data.

The qualified candidate must possess a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with 2-4 years experience in the field of advanced energy (e.g., renewable energy, fuel cells, alternate fuels, or other related field).  Candidate should have good personal computer skills and knowledgeable of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint).  Then candidate should also possess an aggressive results-oriented work ethic, good communication skills as well as the flexibility and desire to learn and grow within the advanced energy field.  Attributes that are also desired are a working knowledge of CADD and ProEngineer.
