Function as a team member on complex product development projects. Develop and maintain a comprehensive project time plan that is within the scope of the NPDP guidelines and that includes all activities associated with each NPDP discipline.
Communicate frequently across all project disciplines to ensure both team and management are aware of upcoming milestones/commitments.Re-project milestones and resulting launch dates regularly, while maintaining baseline information.Partner with Project Leaders to help them foresee/understand critical project activities and to enable them to manage team resources and tasks to avoid critical path slippage.Partner with project team members outside of R&D to maintain focus on project commitments and dependencies.Create metrics tools that show new product development project timeline historical performance/deviation by NPDP phase for Stryker Orthopaedics development groups.Build and maintain collaborative relationships across the organization to help ensure project success.QUALIFICATIONS:
3+ years experience in product design; prefer experience in the medical device industry AND in a manufacturing environmentDemonstrated ability to lead complex product development projectsDemonstrated ability to employ metrics to measure and analyze performanceApplied knowledge of design controls within a regulated industryDemonstrated ability to independently initiate work (self-starter) and take a hands-on approach to work across functional departmentsEDUCATION:
Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering OR Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering when Program Management proficiency is demonstrated.
