Our Fond du Lac Quality Assurance Group has an opening for an Associate Quality Engineer.Reporting to our Quality Assurance Manager, this position will be providing direct support to our Fond du Lac headquarters group, the Reynosa, Mexico production group and our Iowa based National Distribution Center.

 

As an Associate Engineer, you will support our product development engineers with gage design, reviews of engineering change notices, and control plans.You will provide QA support for our Fond du Lac headquarters group, Reynosa manufacturing plant, and our National Distribution Center, be involved with supplier quality development, the review and statistical analysis of scrap and rejections, and assist with layered audits.

 

To be considered for this position you will need:A 4 year degree in mechanical engineering and 1-2 years of QA experience, or a two year degree in quality assurance or mechanical design, and significant QA experience in a TS 16949 or ISO certified manufacturing facility.Past experience that shows a demonstrated understanding of statistical quality control, PPAPs, APQP and corrective action processes.Demonstrated experience in data analysis along with knowledge of statistical toolsEffective written communication skillsDemonstrated strong customer repore (internal as well as external); this includes the ability to influence others by using data and facts to justify your approach, and the ability to be viewed as a mentor to technical and non-technical employees on quality issues.Experience with gage design or gage modificationExperience with stamping, injection molding and small parts assembly preferred.Certification as a Quality Engineer is preferred.
