Associate Staff Electrical Engineer

ASSOCIATE STAFF ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

The ideal candidate for this position will have R&D design experience concentrating in fiber optics and optical communications networks. It is preferred the candidate also has some circuit design experience with the aptitude to grow into a systems design roll.

 

The candidate will be a team member in the development of products for high speed data and video networks.  Development responsibilities may include product specification, qualification, design review, troubleshooting, technology investigations, cost reductions, customer presentations and system verification testing.

 

The candidate will have the capability to understand detailed design constraints as well as higher level system requirements. Average work related travel - 0 to 10%.

 

Required Experience and Education:BS Engineering or Physics degree + 5 years R&D experienceMS EE Engineering or Physics degree + 3 years R&D experienceMinimum of 3 yeas Experience with optical system design preferredMinimum 3 years Electronic circuit design experience preferredMinimum 3 years Experience with optical component technology desirable
