Audio Visual Engineering Specialist (4975)
Job Description: Perot Systems Corporation , a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients, is currently looking for an Audio Visual Engineering Specialist to join our team in Dallas, Texas.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide daily support in the technical operations and maintenance of the technical systems of the Victory Media Network, including the following:
Electronic program audio reproduction
Electronic voice reinforcement
Digital audio signal processing
LED large format image display
High Definition digital audio/video ingest, storage and playback
Data networking systems
Data storage and management
Integrated PLC control systems
Specialty lighting and controls
Structured voice, data and video communications cabling
Technical systems infrastructure (e.g. power services, technical grounding, HVAC, telecommunications, etc.)
Hardware/Software maintenance logs
Proactive patching for viruses, spyware, network connectivity problems, and security concerns
Perform basic technical systems troubleshooting and routine maintenance for all VMN media systems and technologies.
For special events and productions staged at Victory Park, serve as the primary technical liaison for integration of temporary systems and services to the permanent VMN systems.
Maintain spare equipment and parts inventories.
Assist Technical Systems Manager in working with third party service providers involved in the planning and staging of events at Victory Park.
Provide first on-site response to automated and operator-generated system alarms and fault notifications.
Local ingest of digital media files from third party VMN Operator to VMN head end.
On-site technical support for the programming and commissioning of new media programs, including digital content ingest, and configuration of the following special systems:
Screen Movement System (SMS)
Show Control System (SCS)
Specialty Lighting System
Technical production assistance and technical/engineering team management as required to support live events and special programs utilizing the VMN infrastructure.
Required Skills:
Minimum six (6) years experience in the fabrication, installation and/or maintenance of relevant low voltage technology systems. (ICIA CTS certification recommended)
Hands on experience working with large format daylight video display technology (i.e. LED) and High Definition media.
Experience with digital media ingest, storage, playback and distribution systems, including online and offline digital asset management.
Experience in the programming and operation of PLC type integrated show control systems.
Excellent organizational abilities and communication skills.
