Auto CAD/ CNC Programmer

Job Purpose:

Prepare drawings, CNC Programs, and supporting documentation required to produce and package kits in a production facility.

Small manufacturing company that deals primarily with providing the marine industry with CNC routered parts and kits cut from various materials.  Tremendous growth potential exits and we are looking for the person with the right skills and background to help us grow.


 

Duties:

* Programs mills by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; providing part programs.


* Identifies and verifies specifications by examining engineering documents; performing calculations.

 

* Modifies drawings by studying changes; redrawing components and parts; changing identifications.

 

* Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information; conferring with other team members.  Investigates and resolves work-in-process problems.

 

* Maintains database and filing system accurately; completes backups.

 

* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

 

* Perform tasks directly related to the preparation of CNC programs (including editing and writing) the machining of components made from composites, plywood and various other materials.  Combines knowledge of all aspects of machining with systematic methods to draft CNC programs.
