AutoCAD Operator

Position Description: Leading company possessing Houston's largest fiber optic network is seeking an AutoCAD Operator to work directly with

Project Manager and Project Coordinator to assure all permits for new construction and maintenance projects are completed in a timely manner. Create and distribute construction maps to internal and subcontract crews.

Position Requirements:

In order to be considered for this position you MUST have a working knowledge of maps, AutoCAD, the ability to create forms and spreadsheets in Microsoft Word and Excel as well as Mapinfo and knowledge of internet for online permit applications.

General Responsibilities include the following:

1. Map and submit permits for work in and crossings of state, county and city right-of way

2. Map and submit permits for work in and crossings of railroad, electrical transmission and pipeline right-of way

3. Follow-up and file all right-of-way use permits

4. Provide construction department with proper permit documentation for on-site work

5. Create maps and drawings for construction and maintenance crews

6. Provide internal crews with site plans for cable and fiber routing on customers premise

7. Work with CATV supervisors to draw and keep records of system build-outs on customers premise

8. Update all proposed design drawings with as-built information

9. Additional duties as assigned
