Automated Test Engineer / strong testing skills (Lab View 7.0 or greater)
Hardware test engineer

Work in a cutting edge environment of an industry leader. This position designs, programs, develops and performs tests on a wide variety of electrical components, broadband equipment and integrated systems. Firm working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the broadband industry and electronic circuitry design is utilized. Minimal reliance on instructions and pre-established guidelines and more emphasis on limited experience and judgment are employed. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Exciting growth oriented position for the right engineer.

Designs and develops equipment to verify the performance of broadband equipment (both hardware and software). Designs, develops and implements automation activities to increase processing efficiencies and improve quality of service levels.

Performs inspection and testing activities to ensure product performance. Evaluates component and hardware samples for conformance to specifications and provides approvals of vendors products.

We desire candidate to have worked on developing/designing test programs/stations

Knowledge in communications technology and/or digital signal processing

Working knowledge of computers, commercial test equipment, signal generation and signal transmission

Proficient with LabView 7.0 or higher
Proficient with use and automation interfaces with oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers
Proficient with RF and digital signals

Prefer progressive cable television engineering experience with familiarity of cable, satellite and MPEG transmissions and DOCSIS requirements but this is not an absolute

Strong self-motivation, good organizational skills and knowledge of current industry technologies and design architectures

Need to work in a team environment and travel/work at/with customer locations.
