Job Description

The Battery Pack Engineer will be responsible for coordinating all areas of Battery Pack Design and Manufacturing. She/he will be responsible for supporting company management in meeting product requirements of the large format battery market. The appropriate candidate will be able to oversee product launches from conception to commercialization. Thus a significant amount of project management skill is required. The job will require a significant amount of domestic and international travel.


Job Requirements

? At least two years of hands on experience in at least one of the functional areas listed in the qualifications section below.
? Ability to work effectively with a variety of personalities, cultures, and work styles.
? Thorough knowledge of computer and online tools to enhance productivity.
? Have an overall knowledge of how batteries are manufactured, how they function, and how they are used.
? Possess job skills that include: high energy & a strong work ethic (the job requires more than 40 hours per week), leadership skills, ?hands-on? approach, knowledge of industrial equipment, strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, data driven decision making, a strong desire to learn, the ability to work independently, excellent team skills, and the ability to drive a project to completion.
? Willing to relocate to the Henderson, NV area.


Qualifications

? Education ? BS/BSE or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field.

? Functional Experience Areas

o Battery Pack Design ? hands on experience developing and producing pack designs. This includes mechanical and electrical components.

o Battery Pack Balancing, Firmware, and Controls Design ? hands on experience developing and producing pack circuit boards, balancing circuits, and/or control circuits. Experience writing firmware for pack control functions.

o Battery Pack Manufacturing ? hands on experience as a process or manufacturing engineer in a battery pack assembly operation.
