CAD Designer II & PRO-E

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1.  Performs mechanical design activities including drawing board layout.

2.  Investigate and select mechanical components, assemblies and materials.

3.  Solve technical design issues.

4.  Construct and bench test feasibility models, prototypes, and pre-production units. Conduct bench and component testing, and summarize results.

5.  Investigate, design and/or specify the mechanical architecture of systems and sub-systems. Make design and tolerance analyses. Document and specify components and assemblies as to materials, processes, tolerances, inspection techniques in accordance with departmental standards.

6.  Create thorough designs, documents and drawings of sufficient accuracy that they require minimal checking by Project Leader.

7.  Accurately estimate time to complete tasks. Upon accepting the estimates of others, complete the task to schedule in a timely manner.

8.  Prepare written documentation, reports, memoranda, or other data relative to assignments of a quality suitable for dissemination.

9.  Generates detailed documentation in the support of product release.

10. Perform other duties as assigned.

 QUALIFICATIONS

? Minimum of an AA degree in a technical field.

? 1-3 years professional experience

? 2 -4 years of CAD and PRO-E experience, plastics part design, mechanism design experience.

? Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, creative, and have an analytical capability.
