CAD Designer / Project Coordinator

Growing manufacturer seeking an individual to provide engineering support and coordination in many aspects of the manufacturing process. The position will include the following responsibilities:

 

* Facilitate information flow and project interface to shop floor from engineering department to streamline projects. This would include ground-up involvement in projects to ensure accuracy in material cuts and bills of material through final assembly.

 

* Provide AutoCAD based design and development, including the development of sheet metal, plastic, and aluminum parts, assemblies, and presentation details based on verbal concepts, sketches, or ideas.

 

* Perform quality control monitoring of outsourced products through physical measurement and test fit of incoming materials.

 

Prospective candidates should possess the following skills / experience:

Minimum two-year degree in a related field

Computer literacy (XP, 2000, Office, Excel.)

AutoCAD 2000+ experience (3+). 3D skills preferred.

Ability to manage concurrent multiple priorities and deadlines in a detail-oriented environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Solid understanding of manufacturing processes.

Electrical background a plus.

No relocation offered.
