CAD/PCB Designer, Hardware - Mountain View
This position is based in Mountain View, CA.



Google is looking for world-class highly motivated CAD/PCB designers to design PCBs to support next generation hardware and test fixtures. Duties include complete board layout (both component placement and routing), library symbol development, mechanical diagrams and CAD software installation and use.

Individual will work closely with hardware engineering to define placement and route constraints. CAD/PCB designer will be responsible for interfacing with PCB fabricators.

Requirements:
BS in Electronics or equivalent experience (MS welcome).
5+ years CAD/PCB design.
Proficient in Cadence Allegro.
Must be proficient with High speed board design/layout, familiar with high density BGA's (ball grid arrays), blind and buried via's (Versatile Interface Adapters).
Familiarity with all phases of hardware development including: schematic entry, manually generated constraints and/or understand the requirements of the constraints, and board layout.
Experience with mechanical design a plus.
A self-starter, highly motivated, with excellent organizational skills.
Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
