CE Firmware Development Engieer-Direct at Hitachi GST

THIS IS A DIRECT HIRE WITH HITACHI GST

A structured code development process is used to create and verify firmware designs based on internal and external inputs. The position will be primarily a firmware/software code position writing and testing out the new CE function on our hard disk drives. You will be responsible for working with team leads and management to help architect and design new features that will promote the sale of our hard disk drives in the emerging CE market place.
BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
Software development background proficient in C/C++
Candidates will have 0- 2 years experience in embedded system and firmware development, ideally with some exposure/experience to STB/DVR Demonstrated knowledge of Linux internals including kernel and device driver development and test
Exposure or experience in Linux or HDD security features implementation
Network application development or debug
Embedded systems development
Ability to solve problems quickly and make strong individual contributions while working on a small fast moving team
Willingness to develop and protect the company's Intellectual Property
Preferred experience
5+ yrs. of experience
