CE Firmware Development Engineer-Direct at Hitachi GST

THIS IS A DIRECT HIRE WITH HITACHI GST

The candidate must be able to drive the team, create presentation and work with executives and customers to create expanded revenue for the sales of our hard drives in the growing CE market place. Being proactive and having good communication skills are fundamental to this position.
BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with a minimum of 5 yrs. of experience
working with embedded Firmware development, ideally in the area of STB/DVR firmware.
Experience leading a team of software and firmware engineer to design and complete projects from start to finish, including scheduling & project management skills
Software architecture development expertise with a proficiency in C/C++
In-depth understand of Linux including kernel and device driver development and test
Experience in Linux or HDD security features implementation
Embedded systems firmware development
Demonstrated understanding of HDD hardware and software architecture
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
Ability to solve problems quickly and make strong individual contributions while working on a small fast moving team
Willingness to develop and protect the company's Intellectual Property
Preferred experience
10-15 yrs. of experience
