CNC FANUC CONTROLS INTERFACE ENGINEER

RESPONSIBILITIES :   Execute & support CNC services automation projects for a wide variety of customer applications
Develop customized solutions involving the use of CNC controls, Fanuc options, Fanuc Macro Executer, high level programming languages, and interfaces to external devices such as bar code readers, ID systems, force sensors, and other external sensors
Utilize GE Fanuc PLC products and software for cross business solution applications. Perform installation of automation solutions
Drive customer satisfaction through problem solving and quality of work
Listen to the customer to determine if alternate or additional solutions are applicable
Suggest manufacturing solutions and services based on observations and data

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 
Four year engineering degree or equivalent related work experience
Self starter w/minimal supervision, organized, able to meet deadlines
Able to communicate clearly professional engineering opinions based on support data and analysis
Strong knowledge of GE Fanuc CNC Ladder interface w/ability to interpret and modify ladder programs within GE Fanuc controls
Strong design skills relative to electro mechanical systems
Able to clearly specify automation solutions using GE Fanuc products
Hands on mechanical and electrical skills, able to use hand tools,  drills, etc., basic wiring
Strong computer skills including MS Office products
Some overnight travel required

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS DESIRED:

 
Able to freely express creativity
Able to make 2 dimensional drawings using AutoCAD
Experienced in Macro Executer and Custom Macro B
Experienced in high level programming w/Visual Basic or Visual C
5+ Years CNC applications experience
Experienced in project management
Experienced in machine tool retrofit/rebuild
