CPP Platform Chemist

CITY: Mt.Vernon STATE: Indiana COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Provide technical leadership in the design and commercialization of new polymer platforms. This includes developing new polymer blends and resins to provide growth to the business by accessing new markets, working closely with customers and the commercial team to define new opportunities, and working with suppliers to find cost effective material solutions for new engineering materials. Focus expertise to invent, develop and apply new technology to engineering thermoplastics using statistical design of experiments to deliver Six Sigma performance. Extend rigor to take new products from the laboratory to the manufacturing floor, ensuring consistent manufacturing performance of the products

Qualifications/Requirements:
*Advanced degree in polymer or materials science, chemistry, or chemical engineering.
*Demonstrated success in product development/design and commercialization.
*Demonstrated creativity, patents and publications on complex technical assignments
*Experience with DFSS, DOE and advanced design/modeling tools or other statistical tools.
*Strong innovation, communication and leadership skills.
*Team player with demonstrated ability to interact with customers and commercial team.
