Catalyst Engineer

Job Description
The postholder will be primarily responsible for providing engineering support to the Ineos Technologies acrylonitrile catalyst pilot plant. This includes support for pilot-scale catalyst manufacturing and reactor testing. The postholder will work with research chemists and pilot plant technicians to scale up and test new and existing acrylonitrile catalysts.

The postholder will also work on a team with experienced engineers to provide engineering support to Ineos? acrylonitrile licensees and catalyst customers. This includes technical support during sales of new catalyst and support during a new licensee project.

The post has no direct reports.

Roles & Responsibilities
?Applies process engineering knowledge to a variety of assignments for projects, plants, and licensees.
?Provides engineering support for the catalyst manufacturing and testing scale-up programs in the acrylonitrile catalyst Pilot Plant.
?Provides technical support to acrylonitrile licensees/catalyst customers.
?Participates in the development and implementation of innovative and leading edge technology.
?Writes and co-authors invention disclosures and patent proposals that protect the core technology.

Work Experience
This is an entry level engineering position. Minimum experience is a B.S. Chem. Eng. degree, preferably with co-op work experience.

A preferred candidate would have 2-5 year work experience in chemical manufacturing, process engineering, or catalyst manufacturing.

Education
B.S. Chemical Engineering, minimum
