Chemical Process Engineer (Refinery)

The client needs 2 Chemical/Process engineers with Refinery exp; one Sr. and one Jr.  Contracts are 6 mo's - 1yr

 

This role provides process engineering expertise in the justification, development, and implementation of projects to improve safety and environmental performance, reliability, and profitability within the refinery.  In addition this role may conduct special studies and provide supplemental production support to the refinery The refinery is currently initiating scouting activities for ~ $350MM+ in refinery growth / upgrading projects.  This position is targeted to provide lead process engineering role for portions of these projects.

 

Process engineers within the Process Engineering Projects group perform a key role in developing projects from initial business case through final implementation.  They have lead responsibility in developing project alternatives, technology selection, economic justification and process design and support construction and startup as needed. They must work effectively with customers and multidiscipline project teams to deliver successful projects. These teams typically manage projects up to $10+MM and may provide location focal point roles for projects of $100 MM or more. This role reports to the Manager - Process Engineering Projects.

 

Chemical Engineering degree with 10+ years experience, preferably 5+ years in a manufacturing environment.

Previous project and production support experience preferred

Knowledge of project work processes desirable.Knowledge of refinery technologies and integration preferred.
