Circuit Breaker Product Engineer

Job Responsibilities:
Entry level Product Engineering position having responsibility for 1-5 MCCB/ICCB Product Lines, primary responsibilities include: -Technical Support to TAG, Operational Marketing, and EUE groups for product applications -Technical Support to SENA Breaker and Equipment plants for fabrication and assembly issues -Resolution of potential performance problems associated with UL Follow-up testing -Transition assurance of projects from New Product Development and OE -Product Configuration Control -Product Evolution -Applied Technical Specialization (Current Interruption, Heat Transfer, Magnetics) Requirements Bachelor?s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical (power emphasis, not electronics/software) Engineering, Mathematics or Physics, Master?s Degree highly desired.


Required Training/Experience in: -Finite Element Analysis (Stress, Magnetics, Heat Transfer) -Basic CAD (Pro E) proficiency -Kinematics of Mechanisms, in particular multi-bar and latching systems -Electro-Magnetics -Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals -Thermoplastic and Thermoset Polymers -General PC Skills (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)


Desired Training/Experience in: -Multi-phase Low voltage AC circuits distribution and control -Stamping, Molding, and Extrusion Fabrication Processes (Low/Med volume) -Solenoids and Current Transformer Design, Function and Application -Applied Dimensioning/Tolerancing & Analysis of Components and Assemblies -Product Testing and Evaluation Methods -Applied Statistics (Anova, DOE, Process Capability/Control) -Foreign Language (Spanish, French)
