Civil Concrete Contractor Junior Estimator

Job Purpose:

To assist Senior Estimator in gathering information on projects that company is currently bidding. To also provide quantities through various methods previously established by management.


Duties:

* Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information as instructed.


* Understand estimating programs being used; operate construction digitizer take off equipment;


* Prepares construction take off sheets for Senior estimator.



* Obtains proposals from vendors.


* Resolves cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.

* Prepares special reports by collecting information.


* Maintains quality service by following organization standards.



* Maintains continuity among corporate, division, and local work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.



* Maintains technical knowledge by establishing personal networks;

keeps informed of industry changes through publications provided.



* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
