Civil Engineer - Reno, NV

Our Reno, NV office has an excellent opportunity for a junior engineer in one of MACTEC's consistently high performing offices. Stability of large, long-term contract work complemented by shorter-term seasonal projects. Challenging position offering a blend of office based and field work, with some regional and national travel requirements.  This position is in a small 5-person office offering a casual but professionally challenging atmosphere with extensive collaboration and teamwork among the staff.


 

Responsibilities include:

- Database table specifications
- Database problem investigation and resolution
- Quality control/quality assurance of materials test data
- Technical writing of laboratory test guidelines
- Perform and/or review field data collection activities

 

Position Requirements:

- B.S. in Civil Engineering
- Familiarity with MS Office applications, particularly MS Access
- Basic knowledge of highway/pavement engineering concepts
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- The work will primarily be in an office environment
- Occasional field work may require long hours in an outdoor environment

-  Must pass drug screen, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy.
