Civil Engineer I

This is entry level professional civil engineering work requiring a combination of education, training or experience in the area of municipal stormwater management. The position involves the review, planning, design, construction and inspection of stormwater management facilities and drainage repair and improvement projects. This position requires a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering and possession of an Engineering Intern Certificate. The successful candidate must be a self-starter and possess the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and use engineering and design and CADD software, preferably Microstation, and hydrologic and hydraulic software models such as TR-20/55, HEC-HMS/RAS, and HEC-1/2. Work will be performed under the general supervision of a professional engineer.

Primary responsibilities include the following: : review of development plans, site plans, and construction drawings; inspection of stormwater facilities and infrastructure; evaluation, design, and construction of drainage repair and improvement projects; preparation of cost estimates, contracts and other legal documents for stormwater projects. ; review of development plans, site plans, and construction plans. This position involves both office and field work. A valid North Carolina's Class "C" driver's license is required. also.

Civil Engineer II

In addition to the above requirements, the successful candidate for the Civil Engineer II position shall have a minimum of 2 years progressive experience in municipal civil engineering work
