Civil Geotech Environmental Structural Engineers

Progressive multidisciplinary civil engineering firm YU & Associates (www.yu-associates.com) is seeking Engineers to work on projects in NJ and NY.  Candidates with geotechnical, environmental, structural and civil engineering from entry to senior level are considered to work on several infrastructure projects for which YU is providing engineering support. Candidate?s should have one are combination of the following

 

2 to 5 years of experience in geotechnical investigations, analysis and foundation design Knowledge of subsurface investigations, rock coring (including oriented rock cores), performance of packer tests, use of geotechnical software and EIT is a plus.

 

2 to 3 years of experience in Phase-I site assessment, environmental investigations, well installation, soil & ground water sampling, soil gas survey, implement health and safety plans, UST closure/modification. Must be able to effectively do field work, handle contractors on site, use field screening instruments, use field sampling tools, take field notes, and prepare technical reports. NJDEP UST-Certified, Cleanup-Star and OSHA-trained candidates are preferred. Familiarity with the NJDEP/NYSDEC regulations is desired.

 

2 to 5 years experience in Asbestos/LBP, Mold hazmat surveys, abatement design and cost estimation in New York City with current valid certifications.

 

2 to 10 years experience in site engineering and regulatory permitting.  Must be familiar with all aspects of land development and regulatory permitting.  Should be knowledgeable of AutoCAD 2004 or Micro-station and associated design software.

 

4 to 10 years experience in Structural engineering with an emphasis on steel and concrete structural design of buildings, foundations NY City and IBC code.  Must have hands on experience with software to perform structural analyses. Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Micro-station is a plus. EIT for mid level and PE for senior position is desired.

 

Engineers with 5 to 15 years engineering and/or construction management experience to serve as Project Officers for various school projects in New York and New Jersey

 

Should possess good verbal and written communication skill. Own reliable transportation and valid license is a must.
