DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities will include analysis and project management and business development support related to surface water and groundwater planning, including water banking and conjunctive use. Preparation of memos and reports related to water resources planning, presentations, and other project-related documentation. Prepare water system designs and develop project schedules, technical specifications, and bidding documents.

REQUIREMENTS
Five to fifteen years experience in Civil Engineering and Water Resources related fields. Candidates should be registered as a Professional Engineer in California (or ability to obtain registration by reciprocity and supplement examination within six months). Candidates should have experience in water resources planning and management, including development of alternative water supplies, groundwater, surface water, river basin management, flood control, energy, environmental compliance, legal, institutional, and policy issues. Desirable to have skills in computer modeling. Knowledgeable of California water institutions and systems, including the California Department of Water Resources, U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, CALFED, Corps of Engineers, State Water Project, and Central Valley Project. Good report writing and communication skills are required. Candidates should be thoroughly familiar with computerized application including Word, Excel, MS Project MS Access, Power Point, water system network analysis software and other civil engineering related applications.

PREFERRED SKILLS / EDUCATION
B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university. An M.S. in Civil Engineering or related field a plus.
