About the Opportunity
There is an immediate need for an entry-level Composites R&D engineer at our Gastonia, NC facility. Design, develop and launch innovative engineered composite products using your knowledge of resins, composite reinforcement and tooling. This is a newly formed division, so the opportunity for growth and advancement is that of a small company but with the resources and support of an industry leader.
Qualifications
* A Bachelor's degree in materials or composites engineering.
* Entry-level encouraged to apply, with some hands-on with composite materials, processing and tooling. This includes understanding fabric lay-up, tooling concepts and cure cycles.
* Experience in any VARTM/Light RTM/Vacuum bagging process required.
* CAD/CAM (Solidworks) experience preferred.
Duties/Responsibilities
* Work in a fast-paced environment with cutting-edge composite materials and processes.
* Develop and innovate processing methods for composite projects.
* Coordinate and develop new products.
* Project management from conceptual idea, through tooling/prototype and into production launch.
