Configuration Management Specialist

Support aircraft model specific teams by performing Configuration Management tasks including configuration identification, control, status accounting, and audits. Work with design personnel in the development of product definition data, including Bill of Material (BOM), drawings and requirements. Work with design and program personnel to ensure compliance with the procedural requirements of the company, customers, and regulatory agencies. Support manufacturing schedules through the accurate, systematic and expedient release of design data. Perform configuration status accounting of data and documents by maintaining mainframe and PC based databases. Prepare contract data deliverable items (Contract Data Requirements Lists) and interface with Data Management to insure on time delivery. Work closely with program and engineering management to provide full visibility of work in process and released data. Prepare, review and audit compliance to configuration management plans including performing audits at supplier and partner facilities. Serve as liaison for both internal and external customers. Support new business proposal activities. Provide budget and manpower oversight. Support various configuration audit activities.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Proficient with MS Office Products. General familiarity with aircraft and/or helicopter systems. Ability to work closely with design and manufacturing personnel, customers, as well as all levels of management.

BS engineering or business administration or equivalent. Certification in CM II preferred.

Military, commercial and/or hardware configuration management experience, including creation, control and revision of Bill of Material structure and working with model and serial number data. Working in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Familiar with Product Data Management business systems.
