Configuration Manager

This position is located in our DC, Washington facility



General Dynamics Network Systems is a world-class IT architect and systems integrator of converged voice, video and data networks that are secure, scalable, survivable and interoperable. Our 6,000 dedicated professionals design, build, integrate, and operate enterprise and wireless networks for government and commercial customers worldwide.



Provides functional support to existing baseline systems, primarily the AIRTAPS and OSATAPS systems. Work entails maintaining the existing systems baseline, monitoring and analyzing segment performance metrics, and reviewing and maintaining system documentation. Position also includes involvement with technology insertion on the above mentioned systems and routine communication with NGA/DIA web managers.

Bachelors degree in systems engineering or other related technical discipline or equivalent experience.

A minimum of 2 years experience in configuration management is required. Must have working understanding of government's airborne film-based imagery systems and concepts. Must also possess interpersonal, problem solving, organizational and multi-tasking skills. Desired experiences: Strong written/verbal communications skills are a plus. Prior experience with NGA programs and NGA facilities, desired.

Specific duties consist of: preparing and maintaining CM plans, improving existing CM processes, overseeing change control on systems, performing equipment/software audits and verification checks, and maintaining up-to-date info in CM databases. May require lifting up to 50lbs.
