Continuous Improvement Engineer

 

Yamaha Motor Manufacturing Corporation of America a leading manufacturer of recreational vehicles located in Newnan, GA currently has an opportunity for a Continuous Engineer.

 

JOB DUTY SUMMARY: Drive the development of the Continuous Improvement direction of the organization.  Manage projects relating to integration and training with the YMMC business systems and employees Keep management informed on company?s position and progress on a regular basis.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:Facilitate and track cross-functional projects to drive improvements to our business systems and report status to management.Increase participation of group activities with cross-functional teams providing training and motivation. Responsible for ensuring that new and existing methodologies are communicated to the organization through training programs, materials, manuals and other operational documentation.  Continually develop and improve programs supporting the company continual improvement philosophy and direction. 

?  Drive the standardizing of improvement tools and providing material for educating associates of the fundamentals of all Continuous Improvement programs (5S, Kaizen, Small Group, etc). 

?  Perform internal audits on business systems and company programs.  Present the findings to management.  Address findings by providing solutions or direction to improve systems.Understand capabilities of QSI to maintain integrity of housed data, support system, drive improvement projects, and train users as needed. Perform all other duties necessary to ensure business success and

conformance.

 

 

QUALIFICIATIONS:Four-year college degree in an engineering related fieldThree-five years experience in lean manufacturing /TPM / process improvement work in a manufacturing environment.Proficient computer usage:  Microsoft, Excel, Word, PowerPointStrong project management skillsStrong leadership abilities demonstrated at various levels of the organization.Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong presentation and facilitation skills.Ability to work in various working conditions: office and manufacturing
