Senior Software Engineer with extensive experience in the full life cycle of software development. Primary skills include Interprocess Communications (IPC) including Multithreading, Client/Server (Sockets), and Real-Time Fault Tolerant Data Delivery application Engineering and Development.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

? BSCS Degree or concentration in a technical field

? At least 10 years experience in developing real-time fault tolerant applications

? System administration experience in a Linux environment

? Understanding of transaction processing, multithreaded design/architecture in a Linux environment

? Understanding of database systems in a Microsoft SQL Server environment

? Ability to understand large ?C? language code base quickly

? Ability to understand large database architecture quickly

? Knowledge of TCP/IP & UDP (Sockets)

? Knowledge of Interprocess Communications

? Ability to perform code and design reviews

? Knowledge related to computer hardware including networks and storage devices (SANS)

? Able to multi-task and prioritize effectively

? Able to work independently with general instructions and mentor less experienced employees.

? Good interpersonal skills, service oriented, team player, able to resolve complex problems.

? Excellent oral and written communication skills

? Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook

? Meet with management to ensure satisfaction with the data collection, presentation, and other efforts

The Lead Engineer will work closely with development teams and be responsible for design and implementation of a mission critical, highly reliable, fault tolerant transaction processing system. The qualified person will be expected to lead a small software development team tasked to enhance existing transaction processing applications in an ever changing environment.
