Corporate Environmental Specialist

The Corporate Environmental Specialist will provide leadership and expertise in environmental issues with the goal of helping eliminate worker injuries and associated costs and attain compliance with all applicable requirements for a leading global manufacturer.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assure appropriate environmental programs are up-to-date.
- Provide for all appropriate environmental permits, registrations, etc.
- Will be required to environmental regulatory requirements for international locations.
- Provide for all environmental reporting to agencies.
- Assure sites are knowledgeable about their environmental obligations.
- Conduct hazwaste shipments and works towards hazmat reduction.
- Assesses hazardous waste disposal options and TSDF.
- Conduct emissions sampling.
- Conduct chemical reviews for environmental regulatory compliance.
- Responsible for obtaining, analysis and reporting of environmental metrics.
- Develop, implement and maintain the ISO 14000 Program.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree or commensurate work experience in the area of specialization.
Licensure, Registration or Certification as required by area of specialization.
- 3-5 years experience in providing guidance and direction in environmental regulatory compliance
- The ability to conduct training is important, as well as the ability to work on various projects with numerous staff members at one time.
- Must be experienced in United States regulatory requirements (Federal, State, Municipal) for Clean Air Act permitting, RCRA, Clean Water Act.
