Crew Exploration Vehicle CEV Mechanical Design Engineer / Project Engineer E/S

Senior Project Engineer needed to manage mechanical design team for a manned flight space system. Technical responsibilities include direction of senior and junior engineers in the preliminary and detail design of advanced metallic and GFRP structure, plus manufacturing and I&T support. 10 years of space system design experience is mandatory. Verification planning and implementation and significant coordination with customer technical representatives are required. Management duties include drawing release and manpower scheduling, budget planning and management, and customer and internal design review preparation and presentation. Current DoD Secret clearance Preferred.


Candidate shall have strong spacecraft design skills with an emphasis in composites and metallic structure. Working knowledge of CATIA V5 with 5k hours. An advanced degree in engineering is a plus. Good leadership, communication and presentation skills are a must. Requires BS in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Aerospace Engineering) and 10 years experience with mechanical / structural design of spacecraft structures (NOT AIRCRAFT).
