Job TITLE:  Customer Quality Engineer

 

Job SCOPE:

? Primary contact person within the organization to provide support to assigned external customers on quality-related issues. Address customer quality issues to ensure adequate and timely resolution, while securing support and participation from other functions, including but not limited to manufacturing operations (domestic and offshore locations), development and analytical services 

 

Job description:

? Coordinate technical activities related to customer quality issues, from initial complaint to problem resolution

?  Lead and participate in problem solving teams using root cause analysis and Global 8D techniques

? Facilitate and follow-up the deployment of corrective and preventive actions in response to customer issues through the coordination of cross-functional teams 

? Communicate investigation results and action plans to external customers

? Administer customer returns (RMA) from receipt to final disposition

? Be the focal-point for developing and coordinating internal activities in support to customer-driven improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

 



? Education:

  Degree in Engineering (preferably BSEE)

 

? Experience: 

  5+ years of high-tech industry experience, preferably in a development & manufacturing environment (experience with Semiconductor industry is a PLUS). Experience with multinational customers and diverse cultures is required

 

? Specific Knowledge:

  Familiarity with quality/statistical tools, such as: SPC, FMEA, and DOE. Proficient in problem solving techniques (root cause analysis, Global 8D, DMAIC) and team dynamics

 

? Business Understanding: 

  Thorough understanding of customer relations, warranty costs/RMA administration, strong presentation and project management skills. MUST have the ability to deal with several concurrent issues under high pressure

 

? Other:

  ASQ (American Society for Quality) certification (CQE, SSBB) is a PLUS; must have excellent technical communication, people and leadership skills to interface with multiple internal functions and external customers;  must be a self-starter and self-motivated individual. Extensive travel (domestic, international) may be required
