Customer Quality Liaison - Lansing, MI

 

 

Description:

 

This position is responsible for supporting production activities by working with the customer at their location in order to address any quality concerns and convey that informtion back to appropriate personnel at plant locations.This area is to function with understanding and strict adherence to all appropriate customer, internal and industry standards (including DQS/QS9000/ISO/VDA) in regards to the performance of its' daily activities.

 

Primary Duties:

 Assist in overall activities of the quality services function including all work to be performed, development of work instructions, creation and publishing of all reports and all relevant testing, inspection and measurement requirements Support production quality through customer visits and interaction with other quality production, and Engineering personnel to promote problem solving and continuous improvements Establish, develop, and maintain appropriate measurement protocols Ensure that all current testing, inspection and measuring equipment are properly maintained, serviced and are capable to perform the test for which they were purchased.  This includes maintaining service agreements, establishing the appropriate calibration frequencies and ensuring repairs are performed on equipment as needed Perform all duties to assure adherence to DQS/TS16949/VDA as required Initiate and support continuous improvement activities.Use of appropriate problem solving toolsOther duties as assigned by Quality Manager

 

 

Position Requirements:

 

? Minimum of 3 years experience in Quality Assurance in automotive industry

? Experience in testing, measuring, and inspection experience and using precision measurement equipment is required

? Possess good communication skills, both written and oral

? Must be able to establish and maintain customer relationship

? Must be able to exhibit confidence and proficiency in areas of problem solving, root cause analysis, and follow through until closure of critical issues

? Must have a general understanding of measurement systems analysis (MSA)

? Spanish and/or German language skills is a definite plus
