Customer Service Technician - Thermoforming Toolin

My client is a tool and mold maker with offices in several cities. They have a need at their sales office in Chicago for a position called Sales Administrator or Customer Service Technician. The company is a leader in tooling/molds for a variety of processes including injection molding, thermoforming and blow molding. This particular position is limited to their thermoforming business.

 

The Customer Service Technician (CST) is the interface between all departments and also customers. He/she will work with Sales to serve current customers and assist in prospecting and providing technical support. He will deal with customer issues of any sort and attempt to resolve in a timely and cost effective manner. He will prepare and publish mold and service quotations, and then he will direct and monitor all projects and be the primary contact to the customer for updates.

 

The successful candidate will have experience in each of these areas of responsibility. They should be fairly technical although an engineering degree is not required. Any 4-year degree is preferred but also not required. They should understand thermoforming and have the ability to understand tooling. They should know how to read prints and be familiar with design software. They should have several years of project management and also experience dialoging with customers. They?ll have to be able to conceptualize situations and offer solutions and ultimately quotes. They must communicate well and coordinate all aspects of projects to meet customer and also company requirements.
