CUTTING TOOL DESIGN ENGINEER

 

Our 10+ year old company manufactures, re-sharpens and re-conditions a wide variety of cutting tools; end mills, drills, reamers, specials, and multi-diameter tooling in solid carbide, high speed steel, and carbide tipped material.  We are a CNC facility utilizing the latest ANCA CNC cutter grinders and software.  We take great pride in the quality of our workmanship and in providing superior customer service.

 

Due to our growth, we are seeking a cutting tool designer with the skills necessary to enhance our designing, quoting, and customer service departments. We sell and service the automotive, aerospace, medical, and general machining market in a 4 state area; customers include big 5 automotive, Tier 1, and a variety of job and specialty manufacturers. 

 

Key knowledge/skills required for this job:A strong background and understanding of cutting tool geometries and their applications. Must have an engineering degree or a minimum of 3 years experience in cutting tool manufacturing. Ability to design using AutoCAD, Solid Works plus general word processing and computer skills. Must communicate effectively with customers and some one-day travel may be necessary to provide on-site customer support/engineering input. Additional experience desired include tool quoting, print, and document control, Anca I-Grind software and tool inspection/quality methods.
