DER - Flammability/Interior Arrangement

Job Synopsis:
A great opportunity in Final Phase Engineering as a DER!

Position Summary
All applicants for this position must posess a designation as company DER with applicable Flammability and Interior Arrangment designation, and have practiced as a company (any comapny) Flammability/Interior Arrangment DER for at least two years.

1. Familiarity with all appicable FAA and JAA/EASA certification requirmnets are required
2. Makes decisions independently on engineering problems and methods, and represents the organization to customers and suppliers to resolve important issues and to plan and coordinate work.
3. Requires the use of advanced techniques and the modification and extension of theories, precepts, and practices of a specified filed and related sciences and disciplines.
4. Plans, develops, coordinates, and directs a large and important engineering project or number of small projects with many complex features.
5. Provides technical guidance to other engineers.
6. Develops and evaluates plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities to be carried out by others.
7. Assesses the feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering evaluation test, products, or equipment when necessary data are insufficient or confirmation by testing is advisable.
8. Actively works to improve daily processes and ensures all work meets customer requirements.
9. Maintains a current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve the quality economy, and effectiveness of the company product.

Prerequisites
1. Bachelor degree in engineering, a related curriculum, or equivalent combination of appropriate education experience.
2. Advanced degree in engineering related curriculum preferred.
3. Minimum of ten (10) years in the specific technical discipline or thirteen (13) years engineering experience with broad experience in several technical disciplines.
4. At lease two years of experience working as DER approving data for both FAA and JAA certification
