Design/Drafter

Temporary position lasting 12 months or more with a possibility of going direct.

 

Objective:

This position will help improve the design engineer's productivity by generating new design documents as well as maintaining existing design documentation.

 

Responsibilities:

?  Create and modify detailed electro-mechanical component and assembly drawings using 3D models, sketches, layouts, and/or notes provided by R&D design engineers.

?  Contribute to design modifications to facilitate manufacturing operation or quality of product (DFM).

?  Maintain drafting log to estimate job completion time and to ensure acceptable turn-around time on drafting jobs.

?  Ensure that urgency is considered on all drafting jobs to ensure optimum use of time and maximum available service to customers.

?  Maintain up-to-date drawing archive to ensure revision control and proper linkages between 3D & 2D models.

 

Skills Required:

?  3 - 5 years of CAD drafting, ANSI, GD&T experience

?  Working knowledge of 3D design and 2D drawing software. Prefer CoCreate Onespace experience although other applicable experience will be considered.

?  Excellent communication skills - must be able to effectively communicate with design engineers either through verbal meetings or written email communication.
