Design Electrical Engineer
Purpose
As a member of the technical staff, the electrical engineer is responsible for the design of new electronic products up to full production. This includes specification reviews, development program timelines and reports, design reviews, simple mechanical designs, documentation packages, pre-production builds, debug, product testing at government and customer labs, and transfers to production. Also this engineer will be responsible for technical support of some mature electronic products currently in production.
Key Responsibilities
? Designs and tests electronic products in accordance with customer specifications for military or aerospace applications.
? Writes test procedures and reports.
? Participates in project teams and all activities related to the development of new products.
? Performs other related duties of comparable complexity as directed.Critical Success Factors
? Technical Skills: B. S. in Electrical Engineering or other technical degree with significant electrical engineering experience. Minimum of 2 years experience in electronic design with electronic circuit technology assembly processes (analog, digital, and/or high voltage design). Experience with circuit design tools such as OrCAD Capture as well as circuit simulation tools such as PSPICE. Knowledge of CAD software (ProE or AutoCAD preferred). Proficient in MS Office.Familiarity with Military and/or Aerospace products is desirable. Must have the ability to obtain a U.S. DOD secret clearance.
